Christian Formation Meeting Locations – 2008-2009
While we eagerly await the construction of the beautiful new Christian Formation spaces coming next year, we must navigate through this year of transition and limited space. Here is a complete listing of the meeting places for all education classes from age 2 to adult. We ask for your continued patience and prayers and look forward to coming together in fellowship with each parishioner this year.
Children’s Education
2 year olds: Children’s Chapel
3 year olds through 2nd grade: 2nd Floor Education Building
3rd grade: Assembly Room
4th grade: Gibson Hall
5th grade: One Monument Avenue meeting space
Rite-13/Journey to Adulthood
6th and 7th grade: 3rd Floor Beth Ahabah meeting space
8th grade: One Monument Avenue meeting space
9th grade: Catacombs (beneath Parish House)
Adult Education
Adult Bible Study: Beth Ahabah 2nd Floor Conference Room
Adult Forum: Parkinson Room
Whether it is teaching our children on Sunday morning, our
youth on Sunday afternoon or our adults throughout the week,
we are committed to the spiritual and intellectual growth of
everyone at St. James’s.
In his letter to
the Ephesians, St. Paul says that the goal of the Christian
life is to build up the body of Christ until all of us
come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the
Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature
of Christ, (Eph 4:12-13). God wants his children, no
matter what their age, to grow into the people God intends
them to be, to reach their full potential. God wants us to
be mature, not only physically and emotionally, but spiritually
mature as well. At St. James’s we are dedicated to helping
people reach their full ‘stature in Christ’ through
worship, education and service to others. Whether you are
4 or 84, a newcomer or a life long member of St. James’s,
we have something for you.
