We are excited to offer this special eight-week course in the study and exploration of the Enneagram, a comprehensive system of psychological and spiritual integration. With roots in the Western religious traditions, the Enneagram leads us into an exploration of the development and functioning of our personality and its relationship to our most fundamental spiritual issues. With the greater self-understanding that we can attain from the diagnostic aspect of this study, we become free to achieve healthier behaviors, fuller relationships and more complete fulfillment of our given talents. The dynamic element of the system directs us on a path to growth and development of both psyche and spirit within our religious tradition. Our teacher will be Marian Richards, a long-time student of spirituality and psychology currently certifying as an Enneagram Teacher of the Narrative Tradition, who will bring her knowledge of the Enneagram and her enthusiasm for this powerful transformational tool to our community. Registration is required for this free course. Contact Whitney Zimmerman to register: 804-355-1779, ext. 17 or wzimmerman@doers.org.

Sunday Mornings, 10:15 – 11:00 a.m.
In our scripture study, the popular and up-to-date “Interpretation Bible Studies” book series will continue to be used this year in Sunday morning sessions. Our in-depth discussions will engage the scriptures in the light of the unique issues of today. In the fall we focus on the Old Testament’s book of Job and the great questions of suffering, grace, forgiveness and redemption. In Advent we will begin a study of the last and most unique gospel, John. We will look at the meaning of the Word becoming flesh and the great promise of Jesus’s life amongst us. See the Parish Resource Guide for more details. As we move on through the program year, look for further offerings to be announced.
