In Europe, one can stroll down a street and encounter a recital taking place inside a church or cathedral. The Welcome Summer Recital Series was created with that in mind as a way to share our beautiful space with the Richmond community and, at the same time give greater exposure to service organizations. The 21st annual series takes place on the first three Wednesday evenings in June at 7:00 p.m. There is no lovelier way to spend a summer evening than to listen to beautiful music in a beautiful space. Please join us and bring your friends.
- June 6 St. James’s Choir – The first event of the Welcome Summer Recital Series will feature our choir singing music prepared for June 17 services at St. Thomas Church and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. There will also be music for chorus, organ and brass by Stanford, Parry, Gabrieli and Monteverdi. Our choir gives only one concert each year. Don’t miss it.
